Housed in the Old Boma, built by the Germans in 1900, the natural history museum displays the results of archaeological and paleoanthropological investigations at various sites in Tanzania, including Olduvai Gorge, and exhibits East African flora and fauna. Part of the exhibition is also dedicated to the history of German colonial administration in northern Tanzania.
